Sometimes, even the strongest amongst us get a gut punch from life. Mine came courtesy of an inflamed body and a looming hospital admission. As a nurse, the hospital was familiar and I had purpose, it was not my prison. Yet, there I was, vulnerable and staring at a potential turning point.
Instead of surrendering to admission, I made a pact with myself – this experience wouldn’t break me, it would reshape me. And reshape it did! From diet and relationships to spirituality and education, every aspect of my life received a conscious overhaul.
It wasn’t always easy, but that ER visit became the catalyst for growth, leading me to a life I cherish even more. Now, I embrace those “line in the sand” moments – the whispers within that urge me to adjust and evolve.
